Sarah is an experienced writer, editor and audio producer based in New York. She has covered labor, culture, and health and science stories on nationally-distributed public radio programs including WNYC's The Takeaway, WBGO's Jazz Night in America and WHYY's The Pulse, and also for the New York City News Service and other outlets.
Jazz United, a podcast Sarah produced at WBGO, won the Jazz Journalists Association award for Podcast of the Year in 2021.
While working at WBGO, Sarah was on the organizing committee that successfully won recognition and created a Newark Public Radio bargaining unit with SAG-AFTRA.
A graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, Sarah has produced podcasts for the AFL-CIO Solidarity Center and for American Civil Liberties Union’s national headquarters. She also has experience in media production and project management for higher education, including at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and at Barnard College.
